CarrierWeb grows by 40 percent in 2014

Record growth in sales and installations leads to new appointments

ATLANTA, GA – February 3, 2015- CarrierWeb (www.carrierweb.com), a leading trucking mobile communications provider, announced that sales volume in the United States grew by a record 40 percent in 2014.

To continue to support customers and sustain its rapid growth, the company announced several new staff additions and promotions. CarrierWeb also created a new department, Product Management and Professional Services, to better serve the ever-changing needs of its customers and lead the evolution of mobile communications and trailer tracking technology in the transportation industry.

The following individuals recently joined CarrierWeb as new staff members:

Tommy Clark, Senior Director of Sales – Southeast

Tommy started his career with Pan American World Airways and has spent the last 17 years providing fleet management solutions to transportation and logistics companies. He has spent numerous years consulting firms on how to make the most of their technology investments with his expertise in ELDs, driver/tractor performance, compliance and safety.

Deanna Newcomb, Director of Field Client Services

Deanna leads the Field Client Services Group of Carrierweb. New clients deal directly with Deanna and the CarrierWeb Field Client Services team during installation and after-sales service. Deanna has over 20 years of experience in mobile communications and has served on many high-powered customer service and project management teams. Her experience in mobile communications began as an Airborne Communications Systems Operator in the United States Air Force.

The following individuals have been promoted following a December meeting by the Board of Directors:

George Dunn, Senior Vice President – Sales

George has 30 years of experience in mobile communications and a broad knowledge of how to use onboard data to improve safety and productivity in the transportation industry. George, a six-year veteran of CarrierWeb, has a degree in Logistics Management from Michigan State University and resides in Atlanta.

William J. Newlands, Senior VP and Chief Financial Officer

Bill is currently the Chief Financial Officer of parent company e*freightrac, LLC, and its CarrierWeb group of companies. The Board has appointed him as Senior Vice President, CarrierWeb, LLC. He has held numerous chief financial officer positions for domestic and international businesses in a variety of markets that include medical
devices, public relations and management consulting. He is a Graduate of Manchester University (England) in Economics and Finance, and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (United Kingdom). Bill resides in Atlanta.

Trena J. Wade, Vice President, Inside Sales and Sales Support

Trena has over 25 years of successful sales and sales management experience in the transportation industry. For the last 6 years she has helped carriers throughout the United States realize their investments in the CarrierWeb platform. As a newly appointed Vice President, she takes the helm of CarrierWeb’s inside sales team to lead sales efforts and serve as a liaison between prospective clients and implementation teams. Trena is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a BS in Business Administration.

Keith O’Brien, VP Product Management and Professional Services

To serve the ever-changing needs of customers, CarrierWeb formed a new Product Management and Professional Services Department and promoted Keith as Vice President. In this role, Keith will be at the forefront of helping manage the continued evolution of mobile communications and trailer tracking technology and integrations with third- party solutions to provide customers with the best options in the industry. Keith has been in the transportation industry for over 20 years, the last six of which he spent as Strategic Product Manager for CarrierWeb where he was instrumental in guiding the development of new enhancements. Keith was a Captain in the Marines during Operation Desert Storm.
